What’s On: Daffodil Day, Friday 24 August 2007

Thursday 23 August, 2007

Tomorrow is Daffodil Day and The Cancer Council Victoria is calling on Victorians to buy a daffodil as a symbol of hope for the 60 Victorians diagnosed with cancer every day.

On Daffodil Day, a range of daffodil merchandise will be available at train stations, street stalls, shopping centres and participating retailers.

The Cancer Council hopes to raise $2 million through the event, with all funds raised supporting essential cancer research, education programs which help Victorians reduce their cancer risk, and support services for people in times of great need.
