- Download the Key Selection Criteria template** for the role (if required) and make a statement that demonstrates how your skills and experience relate to each criterion.
- Prepare your Resume (Word or PDF format only and 1mb limit)
- Submit your application to hr@cancervic.org.au with your completed Key Selection Criteria document (if required) and resume attached. Include the position reference number in your email.
Selection process
Cancer Council Victoria aspires to have a workforce that reflects the diverse community we serve, and as such encourages applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People, and from individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
All appointments are based on merit. All applicants are considered based on their abilities, qualifications, experience and standard of work. If you are chosen for an interview, you will be contacted by phone. Reference checks will follow. No referees will be contacted without consent.
You must be able to provide evidence of your right to work in Australia to work at Cancer Council Victoria.
Successful applicants must complete a satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement and, if required, provide a valid Working with Children Check.
All offers of employment will be made subject to satisfactory completion of such employment checks.
Notification
As much as we would love to get back to each individual with an outcome, due to our system limitations and the volume of applications we get, we are only able to communicate with those that we will be progressing further.
If you have not heard from a member of the Cancer Council Victoria team within 2 weeks of the position closing date, this would indicate you have not been successful for the role. If that's the case, please keep checking the Cancer Council Victoria website for future opportunities.

Key Selection Criteria
You may be required to address the Key Selection Criteria as part of your application. Where the job advertisement states that Key Selection Criteria is required, the document MUST be completed, or your application will not be considered. Please refer back to the job advertisement to confirm whether the Key Selection Criteria document is required.
Child Safeguarding
Cancer Council Victoria has a strong commitment to the safety, wellbeing and protection of children and youth. We therefore have robust screening procedures for personnel who are expected to have contact with children in their roles. This will include a criminal record check and referee checks, depending on the role may also include a Working with Children Check.
