This research seeks to understand the important links between the way a cancer cell uses energy sources and the genetic changes that initiate and drive its transformation to a malignant growth pattern.
From such knowledge we hope to better predict therapeutic response to molecular targeted drugs and thereby adapt therapeutic interventions to improve patient outcomes.
This translational research will involve a combination of pre-clinical and clinical studies with immediate relevance to cancer treatment.
