This project consists of a series of 5 studies all aimed at reducing the burden of breast cancer by addressing issues of prevention and long-term side-effects of treatment.
Breast cancer is diagnosed in over 10,000 Australian women each year. This is a program of clinical reserch focussed on reducing the burden of breast cancer and its treatment. It will explore how breast cancer can best be prevented and treated in women who have a genetic predisposition to the disease, as well as how long-term side-effects of treatment, such as chemotherapy-related premature menopause and memory problems, might be minimised.
