IMPACT study

This study will relate the timing and strength of state and national tobacco control policies and mass media campaigns to change in smoking prevalence, using monthly population survey data from Australia’s five largest capital cities. The project continues work undertaken in a study previously funded by an NHMRC Project Grant. Another element of the study will relate sugary drink advertising and obesity prevention policies to reported sugary drink consumption in monthly population surveys.
