This project includes studies that assess the appropriateness, effectiveness, impact and sustainability of SunSmart program activities in priority populations, including children, adolescents, older men, outdoor workers and health professionals. Evaluation studies involve qualitative and quantitative methods. Regular internal reports are produced for SunSmart and other stakeholders and contribute to the continuous quality improvement of the SunSmart program. Some published papers also reflect on broader environmental drivers of skin cancer risk. This and other research programs contribute to Cancer Council Victoria’s designation as a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Ultraviolet Radiation.
