The Information Line is the first point of contact for all public enquiries regarding the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program. Information Line operators are responsible for answering questions, logging the call on the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program Register and/or referring calls to other information sources.

FOBT Helpline (Dorevitch Pathology) 1300 738 365

Dorevitch Pathology (the company providing the FOBT kits and conducting the associated pathology) has a helpline for people who have difficulties understanding the FOBT kit instructions. 

Cancer Council Helpline 13 11 20

The Cancer Helpline provides a confidential service for people to talk about their concerns or questions about cancer with specially trained staff. The staff can send information and provide contact details of services in the local area. The helpline also supports general practices with information on diagnosis, treatment and care. People can contact the Cancer Council Helpline for the cost of a local call. 

Translating and Interpreting Service 13 14 50

The Australian Government, through the Department of Immigration and Citizenship, provides a Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS) for people who do not speak English and for English speakers needing to communicate with them. It is available to any person or organisation in Australia requiring interpreting services. TIS is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is accessible from anywhere in Australia for the cost of a local call.

TTY (Telephone Typewriters) 1800 552 152

Medicare Australia has a general TTY service. Customers with hearing impairments will be answered via this service regarding any of Medicare Australia's services and general inquiries regarding the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program.
