This project applies new technology called 'next generation sequencing' to sequence DNA in a chromosomal region that's highly likely to contain a breast cancer susceptibility gene.
Identification of this gene will provide many families with an explanation for why their families have multiple cases of breast cancer and will improve their ongoing clinical management and treatment.
