Cancer Council Supporters Hotline volunteers

We're looking for passionate people, interested in fighting cancer, to answer calls made to our Supporters Hotline.

You will be the first point of contact for those enquiring about some of the most well-known fundraising campaigns in the country, including Daffodil Day and Australia's Biggest Morning Tea.

You'll join a team of 20 volunteers who answer over 20,000 calls every year.

Not only will you develop strong customer service skills by answering calls, making calls to our supporters and completing admin tasks, but you'll receive excellent on-the-job training.

It's a great place to meet new people, learn about our fundraising events and be a part of an organisation leading the way in cancer research, prevention and support.

You'll be required to work a minimum of one day per week. So whether you're a student, working or retired, we have something to suit everyone.

About you

You will have

  • Excellent English and communication skills
  • The confidence to talk with people of many different backgrounds over the phone
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite is favourable.
