What does it mean to have a personal family history of cancer? Clare Hunt, Associate Genetic Counsellor
Clare Hunt is an Associate Genetic Counsellor at the Monash Health Familial Cancer Centre (2009-ongoing). Clare completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Genetic Counselling at the University of Newcastle and has previously worked in the General/pre-natal division of Genetic Services of Western Australia. Clare is a member of the Australasian Society of Genetic Counsellors (ASGC) and the Human Genetics Society of Australasia (HGSA).
Risk reduction in genetic cancers: Dr Marion Harris, Medical Oncologist
Marion Harris is a Medical Oncologist and Clinical Geneticist and current Director of the Monash Health Familial Cancer Centre. As a Medical Oncologist Marion has worked at a number of hospitals throughout Victoria, including the Northern Hospital (2002-2005), and Monash Medical Centre (2005-ongoing). Marion gained accreditation as a Clinical Geneticist in 2004 through the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI) and works with both the Familial Cancer Centre at Peter MacCallum Cancer Institute and Monash Health (2005-ongoing). Marion is a member of the Medical Oncology Group Australia (MOGA), American Society Clinical Oncologists (ASCO) and the Australian Clinical Geneticists (AACG).
