Matthew Burgess is Genetic Counsellor/Acting Manager of Austin Health Clinical Genetics Service. He has a Bachelor of Science and Diploma of Modern Languages from The University of Melbourne and a Graduate Diploma in Genetic Counselling from The University of Newcastle. He is a Fellow of the Human Genetics Society of Australasia and a Member and current Treasurer of the Australasian Society of Genetic Counsellors. Matthew lectured genetic counselling at Charles Sturt University.

Dr John has a PhD for studies of gene expression. Thomas undertakes basic research in tumour genetics at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research. He has a Fellowship from the Victorian Cancer Agency. Thomas obtained his PhD investigating genomic signatures in cancer.

Jenni has acted as a consumer representative on the combined hereditary bowel cancer and cancer genetics advisory groups at Cancer Council Victoria since 2007. Her interest in this area is sparked largely by the family and personal experience of dealing with Lynch syndrome and its consequences. Jenni has worked as a GP at Eaglehawk Medical Group, on the outskirts of Bendigo, since opening the practice with four other GPs in 1994. She is also president of the Bendigo Regional YMCA. All these roles aim to build healthy individuals, families and communities.
