The test you’ve ordered is called InSure and will be sent to you by Enterix Australia.

To complete the InSure faecal occult blood test (FOBT), you will need to obtain a tiny sample from 2 separate bowel motions. The test is clean and easy to complete in your home, and there are no medical or dietary restrictions, or faecal handling. You'll be provided with detailed instructions with the kit.

Before we process your request, please note:

  1. Cancer Council does not profit from the distribution of InSure tests.
  2. To receive the test, your details will be sent to Enterix pathology service, and they will post your FOBT(s) in the mail. Your test(s) should arrive within 2 weeks of placing your order. If you have any queries regarding your order, please call Enterix on 1800 55 65 75 to follow up.
  3. When you return your completed test to the pathology service, you also need to complete and include the InSure Information Sheet with your doctor’s contact details to ensure they also receive the results of your FOBT.
  4. If you complete the FOBT and blood is found in your sample (a positive result), you'll need to see your doctor to arrange further tests to find out what caused the bleeding. In most cases the bleeding will not be due to bowel cancer, but it is important to determine the cause.
