Arts Awards

Established as a means for people touched by cancer to communicate their experiences in a creative way, our Arts Awards program is an annual event that accepts entries in 10 categories:

1. Visual Art
2. Short Story
3. Poetry
4. Indigenous Visual Art
5. Film
6. Youth Art
7. Youth Writing 
8. Children's Art
9. Children's Writing
10. Children's Group Art

In our program's 15th year, the Arts Awards theme for 2012 is Strength: It takes strength to face a diagnosis of cancer. Whether directly affected or supporting a loved one, many will draw on their inner strength to help them through such a difficult time.

Prizes

Prizes are awarded to one Outstanding, one Highly Commended and one Commended entry in each category.

• Outstanding in the adults categories receives a $1,000 prize
• Outstanding youth categories receive $500 in cash or prizes
• Outstanding children's categories receive $250 in cash or prizes

Highly Commended and Commended entries win prizes donated by our very generous sponsors.

Creative therapy workshops in Victoria

We're holding creative therapy workshops in Victoria for those affected directly or indirectly by cancer. Workshops will be run by Art Therapist, David Champion.
