Jobe Watson on Call to Arms 2012

Thursday 26 July, 2012

Transcript:

This July Essendon is teaming up with Cancer Council Victoria to give you the chance to get your hands on limited edition, signed guernseys from our players. This is all part of our involvement with the Cancer Council's Call to Arms campaign.

And, if you love your sports, you can get involved too. All you have to do is sign your club up to the call to arms and help the Cancer Council raise funds for cancer in men.

Getting involved is easy. Just pick a game this season, wear something yellow, and fundraise at the match. Our Call to Arms - the Clash for Cancer match with Hawthorn - is happening on Friday the 27th of July and for every player on the field, we're auctioning their signed Guernsey through eBay.

Each one features a yellow arm band to symbolise that our match was played in honour and respect of men who are fighting cancer, and those who have lost the battle.

One hundred per cent of the money raised through this auction goes to the Cancer Council of Victoria, so you can help fight cancer by bidding.

Register your club today and hold a Call to Arms match in honour of a team mate, family member or friend who has battled cancer.

Over 400 Victorian sporting clubs held a Call to Arms match in 2011, raising over $150,000. So register your club, sponsor a team or donate at www.calltoarms.com.au. Or call 1300 65 65 85.
