About your environment

Cancer Council Victoria has been leading efforts against cancer since 1936 through world leading research, prevention, support and advocacy programs. The Fundraising and Communications Division (FCD) is responsible for ensuring that Cancer Council maintains a visible, engaging presence in the community; and to inspire and activate support from the Victorian public. The Retail Services Program Team provides our donors and the general public with high quality sun protective products, through the operation of one retail store, a direct mail/phone/fax order service and online store.

About your opportunity

We are seeking a Retail Project Officer to join the hardworking Retail Services team. Reporting to the Retail Operations Coordinator, your role is to:

  • Coordinate all aspects of stock control including monitoring stock status and stock discrepancies
  • Complete routine financial recording, ensuring accuracy, quality and integrity of all data
  • Work closely with the Warehouse team to ensure that orders are delivered within agreed Service Level Agreements
  • Receive and respond to customer enquiries via phone or written correspondence
  • Process orders and payments for internal and external customers.

All about you

We are looking for someone with:

  • Demonstrated experience working in a customer service role
  • Demonstrated administrative experience with a sound understanding of financial tracking and monitoring
  • Strong customer service focus with excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively - be able to demonstrate flexibility in the face of changing priorities
  • A mature and methodical approach
  • Exposure to the operations of an online business would be advantageous.

What we can offer you

This full-time permanent position and provides a salary within range $49,135 - $54,181 pa plus superannuation, annual leave loading and the benefits of not-for-profit salary packaging and a meal entertainment card.
