About your environment

Cancer Council Victoria has been leading efforts against cancer since 1936 through world leading research, prevention, support and advocacy programs. Within the Strategy and Support Division, The Cancer Information and Support Service (CISS) provides information and support services to help minimise the impact of cancer on the Victorian community and plays a key role in developing and shaping policy response in support of people facing cancer. The Service also provides training and education to health professionals, volunteers and support staff to assist them to deliver best practice clinical care to people affected by cancer.

About your opportunity

We are seeking two enthusiastic Education and Training professionals to join the team. Reporting to the Manager, Education and Training, your role will:

  • Plan, implement and evaluate education and training programs that enhance information and support provision for Victorians living with cancer, including both face-to-face and online learning programs
  • Work closely with other Program Coordinators within the team and engage with key stakeholders both locally and nationally
  • Contribute to the day-to-day operations of other education and training programs

The first role is responsible for the delivery of special projects which may include supporting and developing a suite of online programs.

The focus of the second role is the development and delivery of the Victorian Cancer Clinicians Communication Program.

Both roles may extend to other existing and new programs which meet the needs of current and future health professionals and consumer groups.

All about you

We are looking for individuals with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in health, education or a related discipline, you will have substantial experience in the development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of education programs, as well as experience in the facilitation and training of health professionals;
  • Sound knowledge of educational technologies to support teaching and learning, well-developed relationship management skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Knowledge and experience of teaching communication in healthcare and experience in a cancer related field both highly regarded.

These two full-time permanent positions provide a salary up to $75,000 pa commensurate with the position level and experience, plus superannuation, annual leave loading and the benefits of not-for-profit salary packaging and a meal entertainment card.
