The application process

Applying for a position at Cancer Council Victoria is via e-recruitment, and you will need to:

  1. Download the 'Key Selection Criteria' template to your own computer for completion. The Key Selection Criteria document is specific to each vacancy.
  2. Once you have completed the Key Selection Criteria document (1mb limit), return to the job ad and click on the 'Apply Now' button.
  3. Complete the Applicant Details, attach your 'resume' (Word or PDF format only and 1mb limit), and your completed 'Key Selection Criteria' document.
  4. Press the 'Submit' button.

Selection process

At least 2 people will be involved in the selection process. If you're chosen for an interview, you'll be contacted by phone. Reference checks will follow. No referee will be contacted without consent.

Notification

The final candidates chosen are notified verbally, then sent a letter of offer and employment contract. Some positions are subject to police checks.

Feedback

Appointments are based on merit in relation to the key selection criteria. All people are considered based on their abilities, qualifications, experience and standard of work. Application feedback is available and will be based on how you met each of the Key Selection Criteria.
