The Cancer Council's Research Code of Practice applies to all individuals at Cancer Council Victoria, who are expected to commit to the highest standards of professional conduct.
The code is based on the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research (2007). The Australian Code contains specific procedures for responding to complaints about research misconduct.
At Cancer Council Victoria there are four Advisers in Research Integrity able to advise a staff member who may be unsure about a research conduct issue and a Designated Person to whom allegations of research misconduct should be directed. The Cancer Council's Designated Person is Ms Woody Macpherson, Head, Research Management Unit.
